Jude 1:23 "And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh."

As the day approaches when Jesus calls His bride home, the love of many waxes cold. They become immune to the idea of what it means for a loving God to love them. In days of old, preachers jumped on hellfire and damnation as a means to bring people to the Lord. But in some cases, their approach was out of condemnation, and their definition of what this verse means was taken out of context or completely ignored, altogether.

To teach the truth concerning the lake of fire, we must do so within the Love of Jesus Christ, as He loves the church. He died to save us from this horrendous place - a place reserved for the devil and his angels, and not a place reserved for man.

Likewise, to teach only of God's Love and to eliminate God's Wrath is to, also, ignore the teachings of the Word of God within its entirety. While some souls may listen to the message concerning the emotion of love, others will not. This is why the Word tells us to teach both sides of the same coin.

To teach hellfire within the attitude of anger or fear, it is wrong. Also, to teach the love of Jesus without the teaching of what it means to maintain the Holy fear of God; this is equally wrong.

Some people believe that we do not want to hear about hell. And, in truth, they are right. We do not want to hear about it, for it's an awful place. But what we want and what we need are two entirely different things. God's Word is not about what we want but what He wants.

He wants what is best for us, according to His will. As such, we need both sides of the message concerning His love. And this is the truth in what it means to teach others of both love and fear. These are both aspects of God in which we need within our lives.

Eliminating one for the other is condemning those to hell who need to hear the side not being taught. Equally so, to teach about the Place of the Dead (Hades) and doing so within a spirit of fear is not of God, either.

Both love and holy fear are of the Lord. Because of this, when we teach about our Lord, we teach both sides of this same coin. But we do so, within the Love of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

The reason the love of many has waxed cold is that this is all they ever hear. They are made immune because teachers and preachers refuse to tell them about the Holy fear of God, as this applies to what it means in its fullness - including the lake of fire. It is to the fault of the church this is so; that is, it is the responsibility of the church to teach the Love and Holy Fear of God within its fullness.

Finally, those who refuse to teach the story of what the Holy fear of God entails (Jesus snatching them from the lake of fire and what that place is like), you will stand before God on it for every soul missed because you refused to teach the entire message of Love.
