For those who are new in the Lord, I would like to make a friendly reminder concerning one of the characteristics we are to take on as believers. This is in the realm of our leaders. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 reads: " I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."

Here, as believers, we are given a piece of instructions (of many) on how we can worship the Lord our God. Part of this entails that we intercede and pray on behalf of our leaders. We are to NOT ridicule and pass judgment, but instead, we pray for them with an honest heart of thankfulness; asking the will of God into their lives on this earth as it is in Heaven.

In doing so, we help to solidify our walk with our Lord, Jesus Christ. And as such, we steadily grow within His loving embrace. May the Love of Jesus be with you all on this day, and every day forward until He calls us home!
